pineapple news is now completely free, and development has ceased.

new version for mac users, here:

http://www.platinumball.net/pineapple/news/macosx/

i haven't yet compiled a free version for beos, but you can enter the new
"free" key into the ini file yourself. instructions here:

http://www.platinumball.net/pineapple/registration.html

there are still a few newsgroups i read, but none i participate in. i
actually had to poke around in the menus awhile to remember how to post new
messages with this thing.

that's it folks, i'm done. i renounce my claim on this newsgroup, somebody
else can have it if they want. i'd say the odds are good that this will be
the last message i ever post to usenet.
