i got another registration today. the purchaser wrote this in the comments
field:

I love my Mac; I love my Pineapple News!

awwwww. i <heart> you too, pnews purchaser.

okay, i guess i better admit that i've made more than enough on registrations
to pay for toolbar icons, and stop spending all that money on hookers and
crack.

i'm going to buy about twelve toolbar icons from my artist. i need some for
the main window, and also for the message composition window. here's what
i've thought of so far:

* transfer all
* upload all outgoing messages
* download all incoming messages
* mark all read
* create new message
* reply to current message
* save to outbox
* save as draft
* buy more hookers and crack

now i'm stuck, i can't think of any other ones. somebody help me think of
another seven or eight icons to have him draw. how about "crack detox, switch
to meth?" hmmm ....

I could be the wrong guy as I have become only an occasional user of toolbar
buttons these days. Are you going to have a split between the main
application window and message window? Is the toolbar going to be
customisable and able to select large or small icons etc?

How about the following in no order:

1. New
2. Save to outbox (message windows)
2. Save as draft (message windows)
3. Customise (all windows)
4. Delete (all windows but do delete message, thread or all messages?)
5. Killfile author (just to be creative)
6. New filter
7. Transfer all
8. Reply
9. Download all
10. Upload all
11. Mark for download
12. Save attachment
13. Register Now! (Your artist should throw this one in just to get more
money when you add...)
14. Watch thread
15. reply by Pineapplemail
16. Jump to next thread (I know, it isn't there)

just as an aside, have you seen the grisly minced-up road kill of a GUI that
is Gemini (http://www.intellegit.com/software/gemini/)?

Cheers,

Steve

some will be applicable in either situation that won't be available in the
other, if that's what you mean.

i'm pretty sure i get most of that "for free" from the cocoa frameworks. this
will be my first foray into NSToolbar, so i'll know more soon.

1. New
[etc]
okay, i used a couple of those, and sent off the e-mail to steven for twelve
icons. if that's not enough, i suppose i can order more later.

thanks,
allen
